Evaluation

Evaluation:

Overall, I think that this project went quite successfully. The main part that I played a role in was recording the product and also editing the final piece. During the process, myself and the group made sure we knew what pre-production papers we were doing each. Jasmine and James were doing the story boards in which were a crucial piece for our production and in which by having them both do the storyboards and myself and Leah doing the editing of the film benefited us all as it helped us to finish it in a quicker time. Myself and Leah did the shot list. This is because of the amounts of different shots that we tried to enhance in our short film and how we wanted to make sure we had the correct information on the list, whilst this was happening, Jasmine and James both completed the location recce forms in which allowed us to do the risk assessment sheet all together due to Jasmine and James providing photos for myself and Leah to help evaluate.
During the process of the making, we had overall three actors. We had Jasmine, George and James. The only problem with the process of the film in which is when we had finished the editing process but realised we could’ve added George, who in which was the hooded figure at the end, at the start of the film to give the production a deeper effect in the film in which he would’ve been standing behind the two actors without them noticing. Another problem was with the car. Due to having the car break down, the group wanted smoke to fill the air near the car bonnet to give the effect of the car steaming, in which we struggled with this part due to finding it difficult to get our hands on an effective smoke bomb. I also believe that at the start of the process it should’ve had a little more depth such as a few more Pov shots from the driver/ passenger to give the start more depth and too also show how there is not a possible camera woman in the back in which when watching the production looks like the back seat instead of the front.
When doing the editing process, myself and Leah found went fairly well in which we added all of the shots together and also applied a sound track in the back of dark mysterious music and also had a scream during the production which gave the production more effect. We decided to make the film black and white to give more effect to the production instead of having it in colour in which would’ve ruined the idea of a horror production.
